What is Regression Therapy?

Regression therapy is a powerful therapeutic tool that is used to recover memories believed to have a detrimental effect on a person’s behaviour. The therapeutic tool focuses on resolving significant past events that adversely influence mental and emotional wellbeing. Regression therapy is widely used in Past life regression sessions, it is valuable in the over standing the root cause of certain behaviours.  In a series of monthly posts, I will share quotes from leading experts in the field of regression work.

‘Man never lives completely in the present but always somewhat in the past and when the past obtrudes upon the present and distorts it, return to the original distorting incident can release and free the present. If the experiences from earlier years are made known, the filter disappears and the person is able to see reality as it is now, without confusing it with feelings from distant past.’ Dethlefsen, Regression Therapy A Handbook For Professional Vol I:
